Senior Accountant - Private Equity FirmAbout the RoleThe Senior Accountant will join a private investment firm, in their Austin, TX or San Francisco, CA office. The Senior Accountant will have varied responsibilities including cash reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and accounting and reporting. This position will also have the opportunity to contribute first-hand toward team strategy, including building out new policies, processes and procedures with the goal to improve timeliness, accuracy and efficiency of reporting to key stakeholders. This role also provides meaningful exposure to fund accounting, including fund-level financial reporting, investor deliverables and requests, and internal reporting on key performance metrics at both the fund and portfolio company levels.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Accountant will support senior investment professionals in investment sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management functions of the firm. Specific responsibilities include:Managing accounts payable and expense reconciliationOverseeing transition to outsourced solutionTrue accounting work for management companyWorking with legal on allocationsBilling portfolio companiesManaging fund flows through management companiesSupporting annual tax preparationLeading systems migration project for new software implementationProfessional Experience & QualificationsMinimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferrably in middle-market private equity.EducationAn undergraduate degree is required.SalarySalary is $115,000 with $25,000 bonus.About Soul Equity SolutionsSoul Equity Solutions is a NYC based boutique executive search firm, exclusively recruiting for Private Equity Middle Market firms.
