Reporting to the COO, this position provides leadership and management of the Residential Services Division as well as the supervision of the Residential Services Division’s Directors, the Director of Nursing, the Medication Administration Program (MAP), and Assistant Residential Directors.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of Residential Services Division programs and services. Provide leadership and guidance to the Residential Services Division’s team of dedicated staff members.Develop and manage programs as stated in the Agency’s Strategic Plan and supporting advocacy for individuals and participants.Oversee program grant writing to stabilize current programs and develop new programs with additional revenue streams.Direct and ensure implementation of program policies and procedures.Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and determine best practices to drive continuous improvement.Review and address staff turnover, program satisfaction, and quality improvement systems.Work with Human Resources to create and/or revise program position descriptions.Collaborate with the Vice President of Adult Day Services, the Vice President of Children’s Services, the Vice President of Individual Supports (I.S.) and any other pertinent Agency Vice Presidents to ensure cross-divisional communication and development of program models.Collaborate with the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Acquired Brain Injury/Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory (ABI/MFI), and other funding sources ensuring regulatory standards are met to continuously enhance the quality of services.Along with Director of Quality Assurance, oversee Residential Services quality enhancement audits and ensure the Residential Services program compliance with all regulatory requirements; conduct periodic internal program audits.Serve as a liaison between the Agency and the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services, providing information on individual vacancies and referrals.Develop program funding proposals and budgets, monitor spending, and recommend budget amendments.Submit all appropriate reports and statistical data as required.Evaluate direct report employees and support the supervision and evaluation of their staff, focusing on service excellence.Serve as liaison in the community, promoting awareness and support of People Incorporated.Participate as a member of the Agency’s Administrative Management Team.Demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture aligned with People Incorporated’s Mission and Core Values.Respond to program emergencies as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATION10+ years of relevant experience in an executive level residential services setting5+ years of leadership experience navigating or leading major organizational changeBachelor’s degree in social work, human services, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree is preferredA background in nursing, psychiatry, behavior analysis, or other medically related field is encouraged but not required. Candidates with this background may be eligible for additional compensationProven track record of effective program and project management outcomes, compliance management, and team leadership within the field of intellectual and developmental disabilitiesComprehensive grasp of licensing rules and regulations related to the Massachusetts Department of Developmental ServicesProven ability to work in a constantly changing environment due to the constantly changing rules and regulations, along with the changing needs of the communityProven ability to stay agile and organized, while managing multiple projects and competing prioritiesExcellent organizational skills and detail-oriented focusBe an effective and open communicator, with high-level oral and writing skillsDemonstrated experience in developing and sustaining collaborative working relationshipsDemonstrated ability to organize workload, maintain several projects of equal priority at once, and sustain productivity and accuracy under pressureUnderstanding of working with and maintaining confidential informationKnowledge of social service programs for each population being servedKnowledge of government contracting processesSkill in administration and supervisionSkill in serving as role model and leader within organizations and service communitiesSkill in responding to emergencies within the Residential Services DivisionA qualifying criminal background check, driving record, valid driver’s license, and dependable transportationCome work in a rewarding and creative environment that encourages growth, collaboration and community involvement that is exploding with opportunities.At People Incorporated, you will find a path to endless opportunities and a rewarding career!
