The Vice President, Corporate Valuations should be prepared to work within a small, collaborate team environment to manage discrete work streams.ResponsibilitiesWork with the Portage Point team (Associates to Managing Directors) and our clients to develop comprehensive valuation solutionsPerform valuation analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments broadly distributed across industries and geographies while using accepted and relevant approaches and theoryInterview clients, including face-to-face meetings, to gather data and pertinent informationDesign financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analysesDevelop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality, tailored solutions and providing proactive strategic adviceReport and present analyses and conclusions both verbally and in written reportsProvide professional development coaching to junior team membersShare and manage best practices as well as lead internal trainings where requiredSupport business development effortsSupport talent acquisition and firm development effortsContribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive cultureQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics from a top undergraduate programLocated in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York or PhiladelphiaInvested in a team-based culture motivated to collaborate in office four days per week and willing to work at client sites as neededMinimum four years experience constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models including: DCF, comparable company, commodity contracts / forecasts and other intangible asset modelsAbility to thrive in a lean, collaborative team environmentHigh degree of maturity with a proven ability to interact with senior executives, private equity sponsors, lenders, lawyers, middle managers and line workersCommitment to develop personal network and relationships and uncover and sell new opportunities and engagementsEffectively communicates analysis through Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint including high-quality messaging, structure and formattingEagerness to be responsive at all timesProven track-record of success in high pressure, time-constrained environmentsExcellent written and verbal communication skills including strong e-mail etiquetteTop-tier organizational skills and attention to detailSelf-starter and entrepreneurial spirit$220,000 - $270,000 a yearThe City of New York and the State of California require Portage Point to provide compensation information for this role. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate.
