OverviewJob SummaryThe Solutions Architect Engineer participates in both solution design and project execution across several large-scale, complex systems. They are frequently tasked with ensuring that the design intent—developed during pre-sales and by solutions engineering—is adhered to during project execution through review, client management, data analysis, change management, impact analysis, education, and influencing engineering stakeholders. They collaborate with various engineering groups involved in pre-sale and project execution, working with all solution engineering departments and project teams (Software, Controls, Mechanical, and Management). The role often involves client-facing responsibilities and guiding client decisions.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Solution Design Engineering teams to guide the design of large, complex material handling systems.Develop a deep understanding of large-scale material handling system designs, focusing on behavioral interconnectedness and fundamental design principles.Guide simulation efforts and experimentation.Review requirements and design deliverables from other engineering teams.Educate other engineering departments on system design intent.Oversee project execution and advocate for proper system design.Perform data, change, and impact analyses during project terface with clients to assess and communicate the impacts of change requests.Provide feedback to multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients regarding design considerations, consequences, and simulation results.Offer feedback to Solutions Design engineering teams about the performance of executed designs and potential improvements.Travel up to 20% as required.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 6 years of experience in the materials handling industry.Experience with materials handling control systems.Experience with materials handling software execution and management systems.Additional ResponsibilitiesAdvanced knowledge of material handling systems, including control systems, software, and equipment behavior.Advanced understanding of process improvement methodologies and mathematical modeling of systems.Familiarity with AutoCAD.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, SQL, and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.Proficiency with Engineered Time and Motion Systems (e.g., MOST and MTM).Strong collaboration skills within a team and effective project goal management.Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.Adaptability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Strong data visualization and presentation skills.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Willingness and ability to learn new technologies.Salary RangeMinimum Salary: [To be specified]Maximum Salary: [To be specified] #J-18808-Ljbffr
