OverviewOur client, a private technology company, has an opening for an Accounting/Global Payroll Lead/Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. The primary duties of the Accounting/Global Payroll Lead/Manager will be to coordinate with employees and the senior management team on all payroll-related items. This also includes handling all responsibilities under Employer of Record (EOR). Currently this role is 100% remote yet that could change in the future where a commute to the peninsula/South San Francisco may be required.ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all employee filesManage payroll data process, end to end, including coordination with accountingSupport the equity program, reporting, and file maintenanceManage and coordinate expense report processing with accountingManage bonus tracking and administrationSupport the commission payment processHead department policy communicationsRun the HR Systems procurement and implementation processUnited States Payroll ResponsibilitiesAct as primary liaison with US payroll providerProvide payroll input and verificationOversee new employee approval coordination and offer lettersOversee new employee onboarding management and coordinationTrack employment letter amendmentsManage PTO trackingCoordinate regulatory complianceCoordinate benefits with providersManage payroll provider invoice review and approvalsInternational Payroll ResponsibilitiesPrimary liaison with non-US payroll provider(s)Ensure payroll input and verificationCoordinate new employee approvals and employment contractsManage and coordinate new employee onboardingManage PTO trackingHead the regulatory compliance coordination support (by country)Manage payroll provider invoice review and approvalsRole RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, MBA preferredMinimum 6+ years/' relevant experience leading the payroll function at a technology companyExperience with international employer of record firms for employment matters requiredStock administration experience is a plusExtremely detailed oriented and organizedDemonstrated leadership skillsVersed in current payroll procedures and related lawsStrong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbalResourceful, innovative, with a can-do attitudeCompensationThe salary range is based on paying competitively for the size and industry. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. The ranges shared are for the expectations as laid out in the job description; however, our client is open to a wide variety of profiles and recognize that the person they hire may be less experienced or more senior than this job description as posted.
