Chief Financial Officer – Central RegionLocation: Central Region, Deaconess Health SystemEmployment Type: Full-Time | Executive LeadershipMission StatementTo advance the health and wellbeing of our community with a compassionate and caring spirit.Position OverviewDeaconess Health System is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our Central Region . This key leadership position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the financial performance of our hospitals and facilities in the region. The CFO will play a vital role in ensuring fiscal sustainability, advancing strategic initiatives, and supporting the organization’s mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial Leadership:Lead the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with system-wide goals. Deliver insights and recommendations to support high-impact operational and strategic decisions.Operational Oversight:Manage the financial operations of all Central Region entities, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.Revenue Cycle Management:Collaborate with system-wide revenue cycle and reimbursement leaders to drive excellence in billing, collections, and reimbursement performance.Capital Planning & Investment:Support capital planning and financial modeling for new service lines and strategic initiatives in coordination with system pliance & Risk Management:Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and financial policies. Lead audits and proactively manage financial risk.Team Leadership:Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team. Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to align financial strategy with patient care and organizational priorities.Financial Communication & Reporting:Deliver timely, accurate, and clear financial reports and presentations to regional leadership, executive teams, and the Board of Directors.Supervisory Responsibilities:Oversee and support subordinate finance managers.
