Audit and assurance services are provided by Elliott Davis, LLC (doing business in NC and D.C. as Elliott Davis, PLLC), a licensed CPA firm.We are looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join our High Net Worth (aka Family Wealth Services) tax practice. This candidate will consult on complex gifting and estate planning, as well as oversee the tax preparation process primarily for high-net-worth individuals, related family partnerships and trust tax returns to ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations. Tasks will also include business development, leading a team, technical review, quarterly and year-end consulting, identifying tax issues and providing solutions to technical tax matters, as well as engagement oversight and management to achieve accurate and efficient results. The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for training, motivating, developing and reviewing the work of their team. We see this role as a future leader in our firm and are looking for someone motivated to take the next step in their career.ResponsibilitiesProviding tax, gift and estate planning and compliance services for individuals and related trustsContinuously expanding individual, gift, trust and estate tax planning and consulting knowledge, as well as overall professional developmentDeveloping and sustaining excellent client relationships to a level of becoming a trusted advisorIdentifying issues and recommending creative solutions to complex client issuesManaging client engagements to achieve optimum service expectationsDeveloping and growing a business network with referral relationships, potential clients, and organizations to attract new businessHolding yourself and others accountable for business development goalsRecruiting, developing, and motivating team membersCreating a highly collaborative environment in which team members reach out to others for input and ideasPromoting a culture of engagement, inclusion, and accountability for the organization’s core values and competencies for the teams that you leadSetting and achieving stretch goals on a periodic basis that increases your value and contribution to the organizationRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Law; Master’s degree in Tax/LLM in Tax, preferred7+ years of recent public accounting firm experience working with individuals, partnerships, trusts and estates, including managing multiple projects and customer engagementsCPA certification requiredLeadership and project/team management skillsExcellent communication and networking acumenAbility to manage and grow strong customer relationshipsExperience with tax software and technologyWhy you should join usWe believe that when our employees are able to thrive in all facets of life, their work and impact are that much greater.
