Do you have the business acumen and interpersonal acuity to drive revenue by identifying high-value opportunities with new, target clients? Are you successful turning lead generation into revenue streams? Precision is hiring a Vice President of Strategic Business Development to drive commercialization services for new clients.Please note, this is a sales role, not marketing. You must have carried a quota to be considered.About You :You are an experienced Sales Generator in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences space who understands how to develop new revenue opportunities with Pharmaceutical and Life Science companies; developing and executing an annual strategic business plan to drive new revenue and sales growth of commercialization services as measured by sales bookings. You are directly accountable for a select group of small and mid-sized life sciences targetsYou have a track record of building relationships with targets (especially at the senior executive and procurement levels) and leveraging these relationships to generate new business opportunities. You enjoy prospecting, solution development, SOW finalization, and successful transition to implementation.You can promote Precision capabilities and solutions through lead generation activities (e.g., conferences, trade shows, webinars, etc.)About The Role :Engage life science clients – either individually or in group presentations – to create and cultivate new relationships that lead to additional revenue opportunitiesPromote Precision capabilities and solutions through involvement in lead generation activities (e.g., conferences, trade shows, webinars, etc.)Actively manage the client sales cycle including prospecting, stakeholder meetings, proposal development, proposal delivery, pipeline management, and transition to implementationNegotiate client deliverables and development / maintenance value-based pricingMaintain and update client records in SalesforceCollaborate with Precision service lines to coordinate and advance cross-selling opportunities within targeted accountsCoordinate with Precision Marketing and Sales Operations to inform strategic marketing and lead generation activitiesContribute to pricing and competitive positioning for Precision solutionsSpearhead competitive assessment by tracking competitors and their initiatives and analyzing competitive threats from within and outside the marketRequired Experience :University degree in business and / or marketing, or similar15+ years of experience selling to life sciences / pharmaceutical clients; selling commercialization services and products to support drug launchesPast experience carrying a quota with successful attainment of objectivesSkilled in generating and managing leadsSuccessful track record in driving revenue growth, achieving business resultsExpertise in consultative, insight-focused account-based selling approachComprehensive understanding of life science and pharmaceutical engagement strategies and tacticsHelpful Experience :MBA / MS in business and / or marketing, or similarComputer applications : Precision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to : skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
