Kids World Montessori- Children House Lead (3-6yr)

Overview Kids World Montessori is a bilingual English-Spanish program where children ages 15 months to 6 years cultivate a lifelong love of learning. We are currently accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated teachers to join our growing team. With smaller classroom sizes due to our limited capacity, teachers will have the opportunity to create strong connections and build a close-knit community with our families. Position Primary Lead Teacher (ages 2.5-6) Terms, Salary, Hours Term: 11 months, beginning July 25, 2025 Salary: $55,000-$65,000 Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Experience Level: min 5 years in the classroom Responsibilities Create and maintain an engaging, organized learning environment for students Communicate with parents regarding children’s development Provide individualized instruction, including a mix of Montessori materials and Virginia State Standards for Kindergarten students Oversee student progress, collaborating with the assistant teacher to support all students Maintain class records, including lesson plans, curriculum, and observations for each child Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with the primary teaching team Engage in ongoing professional development and training Become familiar with Transparent classroom record keeping create community events Be part of the growing team Be able to work in community with other teachers and parents Requirements Montessori teacher requirements : 5 years of experience in (3-6 classroom settings) Must be able to speak and communicate in English Speak and communicate in Spanish (preferably but not necessary) Completed training at a Montessori accredited center (AMS or AMI) or MACTE Bachelor's degree in early childhood teaching or a similar area of study Excellent Communication skills Understanding of the program and passion for alternative education Coachable and willing to train others.
