We’re not just building spaces; we are building a more inclusive, innovative future.What We Need:Redmond is seeking a highly motivated Team Lead: Hospitality to nurture and grow our evolving portfolio of restaurant, retail, experiential, and hospitality-driven projects across Chicago and beyond. This individual will be responsible for client relationship management, strategic leadership, business development, project execution, and financial/team oversight to ensure exceptional delivery and growth within Redmond's hospitality vertical.The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction professional who possesses 12+ years of experience in construction management with at least 5 years of experience leading hospitality projects. Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop high performing teams will be critical to success in this role.What You'll Do:Client & Partner RelationshipsDevelop, maintain, and grow strong relationships with architects, end users, owners, and industry partners, while proactively identifying new opportunitiesSet kickoff, mid-project, and closeout gatherings with Project Partners to foster relationships and leave a lasting impressionBusiness Development & Industry InvolvementTake initiative on new business opportunities and lead generationLead the pursuit process from receipt of an RFP through the pitch, strategizing on team, messaging, and approachBuild confidence in interviewing and pitching for new workEngage in industry-related extracurricular activities and professional organizationsTeam Leadership & TrainingProvide oversight and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Engineers, & Project CoordinatorsProvide regular performance feedback and contribute to quarterly reviews for direct reportsOnboard and train new team members; present ongoing process improvement trainingsCommunication & Problem SolvingPossess a strong understanding of project priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyMaintain clear, proactive communication with Project Partners (preferably verbal, with email follow-up); delegate effectively, escalate issues appropriately, and prepare actionable solutions when presenting challenges to LeadershipProject Setup & KickoffManage permitting and initial project setup, including creation of the Project FolderSet schedule goals; delegate creation to PM & Superintendent; review and finalize prior to client submissionCoordinate and lead the Project Kickoff Meeting, including alignment with Leadership on expectations, procurement strategy, schedule, profit targets, and team responsibilitiesMaintain detailed awareness of project milestones, deliverables, and critical path itemsContracts & Financial OversightManage the prime contract process; align project-specific expectations with the Project Team and consult with Operations for final review on redlinesApprove and oversee final Trade Partner selection, interviews, and buyoutGuide the creation of Final Schedule of Values & Exhibit As (scope documents) for all Work OrdersOversee budget development and financial planning; review with Leadership to ensure alignment with profit goalsUtilize Procore to manage General Requirements, allowances, contingency, and track overall financial performance and ensure profit goals are achievedEnsure delivery of the Accounting Questionnaire and oversee Pencil Draw submissionsOversee claim managementManage financial closeout, including final claim resolution (COs and schedule extensions), allowance/contingency reconciliation, and establish ground rules for Day 2 workProject Execution & Team OversightProvide strategic oversight of Field teams, Trade Partners, and VendorsReview and lead OAC meetings; delegate agenda/minute responsibilities, ensuring quality and alignmentTake full ownership of Project delivery including drawing review, RFIs, and submittal managementOversee Punch List completion and manage final quality controlFacilitate the Project Closeout meeting and lead the internal Project Debrief with the Project teamWhat You'll Bring:Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management with at least 5 years of experience leading hospitality projectsProven success in client-facing roles and business developmentAbility to manage highly detailed hospitality projectsExceptional communication skills and proven ability to cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with project partners and clientsSuccess in winning and executing profitable, high-quality projectsPositive attitude and commitment to delivering a premier experience for team, clients, and partnersComfortable pitching and interviewing for new client workDemonstrated ability to mentor, support, and inspire team membersPassion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiencesAdaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous improvementCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary and industry-leading benefits package, including:Gold PPO Health Insurance401k PlanUnlimited Flex PTOCommuter Benefits,Paid Family LeaveProfessional DevelopmentVolunteer Time OffWe are an equal opportunity employer.
