Ship Specification Engineer

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Ship Specification Engineer. You will serve as an engineer in the Naval Architecture & Engineering Department, Future Concepts & Design Integration Division within the Submarine Design Integration Branch. This position is full-time and located on-site at Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. Primary Responsibilities: Coordinate SSN(X) ship specification development activities, including planning and overseeing efforts focused on legacy requirements evaluation, identifying requirement gaps, and managing the development and configuration of future SSN(X) ship specifications. Manage interfaces and collaboration with the SSN(X) Digital Engineering team, including leading the Requirements Modeling Working Group and ensuring data interoperability and alignment in specification activities. Serve as the technical interface between ship specifications and R&D efforts. Support the Ship Design Manager (SDM) and Deputy Ship Design (DSDM) in planning and executing SSN(X) ship specification development and other duties. Ensure effective interfacing across technical areas to support specification development and lead resolution of technical issues. Provide leadership and mentorship within the Technical Group. Support on-site activities at Washington Navy Yard, including managing classified efforts and travel as needed. Represent the PMS 351 Technical Group in various activities, coordinating with Program Offices, Engineering Agents, shipbuilders, and research centers for technical reviews, system engineering, and interface documentation. Skills and Requirements: U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD secret security clearance. Related experience of 5-10 years. Degree in Systems Engineering or related experience. Who are we?
