Backend Engineer – LATAM & NAMER Only Location: Remote (LATAM & NAMER-based candidates only) Type: Full-time, Independent Contractor Trial Period: 3 months Compensation: USD $2,000 – $3,000/month (depending on experience) Application Requirement: CV must be submitted in EnglishAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a Backend Engineer to help build our internal CRM and other critical tools that power our global operations. You’ll design and maintain modern APIs, scalable infrastructure, and reliable backend services. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers while contributing to features from implementation through deployment — all within a team that values clean code, operational excellence, and continuous learning.What You’ll DoDevelop and maintain backend features using best practicesBuild RESTful APIs for core business logic and data managementWrite clean, testable code with proper error handling and loggingManage PostgreSQL databases (queries, migrations, performance tuning)Implement integrations with third-party services (email, SMS, payments)Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical designMonitor and debug production issues using Sentry and logging toolsWork with Docker and AWS services under guidance from senior engineersContribute to infrastructure improvements and deployment pipelinesOur Tech StackApplication: Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, SolrInfrastructure: Docker, AWS (VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda)What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of backend development experience in Python Hands-on with Flask, FastAPI, or Django frameworks Strong PostgreSQL skills (queries, indexes, migrations) Familiarity with async task processing (Celery, RQ, etc.) Understanding of RESTful API design Basic experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and ask questions proactivelyNice to HaveInfrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)Containerization/orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)Monitoring and observability toolsExperience with AI/ML or LLM APIsMulti-tenant application design If you’re passionate about building reliable backend systems and want to work with a collaborative, remote-first team — we’d love to hear from you! #J-18808-Ljbffr
