Pay found in job postBase pay range$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yrDuties and ResponsibilitiesThe Marketing Manager leads the execution of marketing initiatives across multiple restaurant concepts within the RMD Group portfolio, including RMD Group Events. Acting as a player-coach, the Marketing Manager helps to develop strategic plans while remaining hands-on in executing campaigns. This role is responsible for day-to-day marketing management, campaign execution, and cross-channel coordination in support of revenue-driving strategies. This position collaborates closely with the broader marketing team, venue operations, and third-party partners to ensure brand consistency, alignment, and timely delivery across all initiatives.Type: Full Time/ ExemptPay Rate: $70,000-$80,000AdvertisingWork with senior leadership to build advertising schedules and campaign timelines aligned with business prioritiesProvide direction, budgets, and creative assets to third-party partners for execution of digital advertising across Meta, Google, and display platformsWork with senior leadership to review campaign performance and compile key analytics to present insights and recommendations to senior leadershipResearch and evaluate potential print, digital, and promotional opportunities; present vetted options to senior leadership for considerationAnalyticsPresent monthly analytics, learnings, and recommendations to senior leadership & venue operations teams covering customer review sites, email marketing, venue promotions or special events, social media, etc.Use data to drive marketing decisions, update campaigns, measure success of effortsAnalyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing strategiesAnalyze sales data to identify opportunities to drive revenue and to measure the impact of marketing effortsBrandingEnsure consistent application of brand voice, visual identity, and quality standards across all touchpointsSupport marketing efforts for new venue openings or rebrands with a strong attention to detailContent CreationCoordinate photo and video shoots including planning, talent coordination, and on-site supportCollaborate with venue teams and photographers to capture on-brand contentEnsure final content is organized and distributed for use across marketing platformsCopywritingWrite and edit marketing copy across all channels: email, website, social, print, and advertisingMaintain a consistent tone of voice and brand integrity across multiple conceptsCustomer Review Sites & DirectoriesMonitor and respond to online reviews (Yelp, Google, OpenTable)Maintain accuracy across online directories and delivery platformsDelivery PlatformsManage delivery platforms, including updating content, running advertising campaigns, and reporting on platform analytics and performance trendsEmail MarketingBuild and deploy email campaigns via HubSpot or similar platformsManage list segmentation and campaign performance analysisSupport guest acquisition strategies via pop-ups, lead forms, and in-venue promotionsMarket AnalysisUndertake continuous analysis of market competitionStay up to date on new technology, trends, and best practicesSupport the development and execution of integrated marketing plans & budgets across digital, social, email, and printCollaborate with senior leadership to develop campaign strategies that drive guest traffic, brand awareness, and revenueSupport promotional campaign ideation in partnership with venue teams and ensure proper handoff to operations for executionFoster a culture of exploration & innovation within the marketing department to try new concepts, technologies, and trends that enhance overall marketing effortsProject & Team ManagementEfficiently manage marketing projects & team with diligent follow up at the venue and department levelOversee and manage projects within Asana, ensuring tasks are on track and deadlines are metAct as primary liaison between internal teams, venue contacts, and external partners (e.g., photographers, PR agencies, digital media vendors)PromotionsSupport the creation of promotions, events, and campaigns that drive incremental revenue and/or heavy brand awareness before handing off to the venue operations teams for executionManage implementation & ongoing success of all marketing promotionsSupport the growth of the loyalty program to build traffic-driving marketing initiatives & guest retentionTrack promotion success & make recommendations for any promotional changesPublic RelationsManage third party agency relationshipLead Marketing Coordinators in PR initiativesReservation PlatformAudit & optimize platform opportunities on a bi-weekly basisSelect photos and copy to be featured on the platformCreate & manage experiences, ticketed events, and upgrades through the systemSocial MediaSupport social strategy by reviewing content calendars, captions, and creative produced by the Marketing CoordinatorsMonitor engagement, trends, and opportunities for organic & paid growthCollaborate on influencer marketing initiatives & user-generated content strategiesWork with digital agency partners to collaborate on social ad campaigns. Use data from agency partners to optimize photos & messaging across social platformsWebsitesEnsure SEO best practices are followed and optimized across site contentCoordinate with web developers and contractors on technical updates as neededEnsure ADA compliance remains up to date and follows current legislation standardsQualifications:Must be local to San Diego. Work will be performed at RMD Group Corporate Office & individual venues.Preferred bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.Must have 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience in a restaurant/ hospitality environment.Demonstrated success in team leadership and performance management.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proofreading & copywriting experience.Understanding & experience in social media, content, print advertising, digital, grassroot marketing, influencer, email, event, and promotional marketing verticals.Detail oriented. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work productively, both independently and collaboratively with others.Working knowledge of project management and productivity tools, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) and Asana.Preferred knowledge and experience in digital advertising & CRM tools including Google, Meta, Yelp, OpenTable, and HubSpot.Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & InDesign preferred.Team player with a positive, proactive, and flexible mindset.Physical Requirements:Must be able to travel frequently between venues within San Diego County; occasional evening and weekend availability required to support restaurant operations.
