Senior Project Engineer

ALL ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY! One of the top general contractors in the area has an opening for an Assistant Superintendent to join their energetic team in Denver, CO. This position supports the Project Manager and Superintendent with project coordination, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade and supplier coordination. All team members are responsible for working safely within our Incident and Injury Free culture, emphasizing safety at every level. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING! Assist with managing on-site construction activities. Understand all plans, specifications, and project details. Help with scheduling, procuring tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring trade contractors meet schedules and quality standards. Coordinate, review, and control project cost codes, budgets, and production units. Troubleshoot jobsite challenges and document corrections, changes, and requests. Help develop site-specific safety plans aiming for Zero Injury and monitor compliance. Assist other departments during pre-construction and planning phases. Maintain a Zero Punch list by establishing procedures with the Project Manager, owner, and architect before trade work begins. Assist in procuring future projects and building client loyalty. WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR SUCCESS! High school diploma or equivalent plus 2+ years of related experience; Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is a plus. Experience with large projects across diverse sectors. Knowledge of local and regional construction networks. Familiarity with construction management software such as Prolog, MS Project, Excel, Sure Trak, and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of building plans, specifications, value engineering, and life cycle costing. Ability to travel to project sites with a valid driver’s license and clean record. Effective multi-project management under time constraints. Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
