OverviewA leading global architecture and engineering firm with over 100 years of legacy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer/Studio Lead for their Minneapolis office. Their portfolio encompasses federal, healthcare, aviation, education, and commercial projects, delivered through integrated architecture, engineering, and interior design services.This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex engineering projects with a focus on protective design and federal infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Technical LeadershipLead complex engineering design processes and problem-solving initiativesEstablish and specify engineering requirements for projectsConduct and oversee site investigationsCreate high-quality technical documentation including narratives, reports, calculations, and specificationsEnsure deliverables meet quality standards while adhering to schedule and budget constraintsProject Management & CoordinationLead cross-discipline coordination and technical discussionsReview engineering documents for code compliance and quality assuranceManage construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFI responses, and site visitsDevelop and maintain engineering quality control processesDirect and supervise Engineers, EITs, and designersTeam DevelopmentMentor junior professionals and designersCreate and implement training programs for the engineering teamFoster effective communication practices across teamsBuild and manage project teams for various initiativesImplement standardized practices across the studioStrategic LeadershipIdentify and communicate with Subject Matter Experts across marketsCoordinate resource allocation with Operations and Discipline DirectorsSupport business development and studio growth initiativesParticipate in recruitment and hiring processesClient Relations & Business DevelopmentAttend client meetings and maintain stakeholder communicationsDevelop client relationships and strategic partnershipsContribute to proposal writing and fee estimationParticipate in client interviewsTravel for marketing and project activities as neededRequirements:Professional Engineering (PE) license requiredABET-accredited Engineering or Architectural Engineering degree10+ years licensed experience3+ years team management experienceProduction experience in developing deliverable drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD requiredExpertise with industry-standard calculation softwareStrong knowledge of building codes and industry standardsKey AttributesExcellence in interpersonal communication and presentationStrong writing skillsProven ability to manage multiple prioritiesSelf-motivated team playerProject fee development experienceCompensation & Benefits:Salary range: $95,000 – $145,000, based on experienceBenefits PackageComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement plan with company matchSupplemental insurance options (Accident and Critical Illness)HSA and FSA optionsCommuter benefitsCompany-paid life insuranceShort-term and long-term disability coverageParental leaveWork-life balance initiativesThis position offers an exceptional opportunity to work on significant projects while advancing your career in a collaborative, professional environment.The studio operates on a flexible hybrid schedule with three days in their collaborative office environment and two days working remotely, offering an ideal balance between in-person collaboration and remote flexibility. #J-18808-Ljbffr
