As the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for managing our accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring that our financial systems are optimized to support our business growth. This role requires a strong background in internal audit to build and maintain strong financial controls within the trucking industry.ResponsibilitiesRecruit, lead, and develop a high-performing accounting team.Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition.Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain a consistent, audit-ready set of financial records.Establish and refine accounting policies and procedures that align with operational requirements and company goals.Collaborate with operations, billing, and collections teams to ensure accurate recognition of drayage accessorials and other variable revenue elements.Partner with FP&A and executive leadership to support financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.Manage relationships with external accountants and tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.Support cash flow forecasting, working capital analysis, and treasury operations as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required12+ years of accounting experience, including at least 7 years in a leadership roleStrong understanding of GAAP and internal controls over financial reportingHands-on experience building and maintaining strong financial controls and processesExperience in transportation or supply chain preferredHighly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environmentOnsite role in our San Francisco officeCompensation and BenefitsThe expected salary range for this role is $245,000-260,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
