.">.">Alliance Resource Group USD 160000 YEAR trueSr. Manager Technical Accounting and Financial ReportingSan Juan Capistrano , CA 92675 USPosted: 06/09/2025 2025-06-09 2025-08-15 Job Titles: REPT - Director of Financial Reporting Job Number: 5491 Pay Rate: 160,000Job DescriptionAlliance Resource Group is recruiting for a Sr. Manager of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting for our publicly traded client in South Orange County.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the lead technical accounting resource, offering expertise on complex accounting issues and advising on appropriate treatment and disclosures.Draft detailed technical memos to document accounting conclusions and support regulatory compliance.Prepare and review key financial and investor-facing documents, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, investor decks, and internal executive presentations.Collaborate across departments—including investor relations, legal, finance, M&A, and audit teams—to ensure all reporting meets SEC requirements and aligns with broader business goals.Manage accounting aspects of acquisitions and mergers, including technical evaluations of deal structures and their impact on financial reporting.Lead the annual revision and distribution of company-wide accounting policies and procedural documentation.Assist with both internal and external financial reporting processes and help implement and maintain control activities.Stay current on new accounting standards and regulatory updates; evaluate how changes affect the business and lead adoption and implementation efforts.Prepare audit-ready documentation and support audit processes by working closely with internal and external audit teams.Contribute to ad hoc initiatives, special projects, and analytical reviews as needed.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is requiredA minimum of 8 years of combined public accounting and corporate finance experienceDeep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standardsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is requiredExceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to engage effectively with colleagues across all levels and with external stakeholdersProven ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including Legal, HR, Payroll, and external advisorsStrong analytical thinking and effective problem-solving capabilitiesDetail-oriented with superior organizational and time management skills in a deadline-driven environmentExpert-level proficiency in ExcelFamiliarity with Workiva and Workday is a plusSelf-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working independentlyWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationFull benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurancePaid time off (PTO) and 401(k) with company matchingStock option eligibilityA supportive, people-first company cultureCareer advancement and learning opportunitiesJob RequirementsARRAY(0x7f84dcafc178)Meet Your RecruiterBrandon Barrett, MBAManager, Executive SearchWith deep roots in the Southern California business community and nearly 15 years’ experience recruiting finance and accounting professionals, Brandon Barrett is a trusted partner to Alliance Resource Group’s clients and candidates.
