About UsWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Software Engineering for ChromoLogic LLC. ChromoLogic is a world-class innovation center with active programs in machine vision, AI/ML (neuromorphic computing) and edge computing solutions for healthcare. The candidate will also lead the software team at Covisus Inc., a VC funded spinoff from ChromoLogic that has developed an award-winning and industry-leading technology for tagless tracking of assets based on its vTag technology. As the leader of the Covisus software engineering team, the successful candidate will spearhead the development and implementation of a cutting-edge imaging hardware and software system designed for tracking supply chain items within the military/aerospace and medical supply chain sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesOpportunity for an individual with a record of technical and team leadership that aspires to take on a business leadership roleA hands-on leader and a subject matter expert (SME) on all aspects of the core product: algorithms, architecture, implementationManage a technical team of dev ops that implements via SAFe 6.0 methodologySet strategic and tactical direction of the team with ownership of the team’s execution & deliverables at the sprint – level (agile scrum, “SAFe-like”)Own the architecture and the technology roadmap that aligns with the company’s business plan and product roadmapWork collaboratively with CEO, VP Product and VP Operations to plan and deliver products, enhancements and support sales opportunitiesRepresent the technologies and developments within the company, supporting Product, Sales and BusinessTechnical deliverables include responsibility (RACI) for the technology that defines the product as well as accountability (RACI) for product deliverables to ensure products are developed and delivered to the customer as plannedRequired QualificationsExpert Python engineer with strong Linux expertise and preferred Windows experience that includes 3-5 years direct development experienceMinimum 3 years dev ops (development) with agile scrum methodology, i.e. SAFe 6.0Minimum 2 years direct reporting leadership of a team of technical members with a track record of technical leadership & deliverablesEnterprise – level architectureTechnical issue resolutionCapacity planning decisions that align with the business and product prioritiesPrioritization of the team’s development deliverables that align with the business and product prioritiesDirect hardware, as a platform, and software, as a value-added, design / coding experienceExperience with the following technologies either as technical lead or in a program management role: Python, Linux, Windows, Microservices, CI/CD, Full Stack Web Development, SQL database, AWS, DockerLeads development of robust applications with potential web/cloud integration via RESTful APIs and microservicesExperienced across diverse environments—including native Linux development and occasional Apple platforms (e.g., Swift)—and skilled in CI/CD practices to ensure reliable, maintainable software deliveryWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package, including stock optionsOpportunities for professional growth and developmentA collaborative and inclusive work cultureThe chance to work on cutting-edge technology projects that make a real-world impact #J-18808-Ljbffr
