OverviewSansimeon is a life science tools company developing next-generation single-cell sequencing solutions that address critical barriers in clinical and translational research. Our technology enables scalable and reproducible single-cell sequencing, advancing clinical relevance and expanding applications in immunotherapy, precision medicine, AI-based drug discovery, and translational research.The company has an opportunity for a Fluidics Engineer with deep expertise in developing microfluidics for single-cell analysis. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who thrives in a dynamic start-up environment. This individual will be a key contributor to our fluidics development efforts, working closely with our San Carlos, CA–based team and collaborating with our Boston-based technical team.ResponsibilitiesAdvance the fluidics system through technical development and manufacturability, collaborating with our San Carlos and Boston technical teams to refine designs, transition to scalable injection-molded manufacture, and develop interfaces and workflows that improve performance and ease of use with the automated terface with contractors supporting the development of the instrument and the injection-molded microfluidic consumable.Manage internal project activities, including the design and execution of experiments to verify designs, and ensure on-time completion of project milestones.Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members in assay development, bioinformatics, and operations to align fluidics development with overall system requirements.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including experimental plans, design records, and verification reports, in compliance with internal quality standards.Support process development for new capabilities, such as high-speed microscopy, to expand in-house technical capacity.Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, helping to streamline development activities and knowledge transfer across the team.QualificationsPhD in Engineering, Bioengineering, Physics, or a related discipline, with research experience in microfluidics.Demonstrated expertise in developing microfluidic systems for single-cell analysis; hands-on experience with droplet fluidics strongly preferred.Track record of designing and executing scientific experiments, with strong skills in problem solving, data analysis, and terest in interfacing with customers and collaborators to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Self-starter who requires minimal supervision and works with a sense of urgency.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and technical writing ability.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information Technology #J-18808-Ljbffr
