We are seeking a dynamic People Technology Lead to spearhead the transformation of our people operations through innovative technology solutions. This role owns the people technology ecosystem, from maintaining critical infrastructure and implementing AI solutions to driving data-driven insights that shape our talent strategy. You will bridge People, IT, and Finance teams, lead complex projects, and ensure compliance, security, and operational excellence across all systems. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder partnership skills to enhance employee experiences and drive organizational effectiveness at scale. Hybrid/LocationThis is a hybrid position in our San Francisco office (3x/week). Key Responsibilities People Technology: drive end-to-end ownership of our people technology infrastructure, maintain and optimize existing systems, implement new solutions, and architect integrations for performance, reliability, and scalability. Lead strategic implementation of AI-powered solutions within the people technology stack; identify automation opportunities, develop training programs, and lead change management to maximize impact of AI tools. Develop and execute change management strategies to drive adoption of new systems and processes across the organization. Drive operational excellence by documenting processes, automating routine tasks, and establishing scalable best practices for system maintenance and integrations. Lead complex People Technology projects from initiation to closure, including planning, upgrades, integrations, and new module deployments; manage timelines, budgets, and resources. Establish and manage a robust support model for all People Technology systems, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and ongoing maintenance to ensure stability and user satisfaction. Stakeholder Partnership Collaborate with IT, Finance, and People Teams to understand needs, gather requirements, and provide guidance on technology solutions. Act as the primary liaison between People teams and IT for all People Technology matters. Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders. Compliance & Security Establish and enforce data governance, security configurations, and user access controls to ensure data integrity. Ensure all People Technology systems comply with applicable regulatory frameworks and internal controls to safeguard HR data. People Analytics Own enterprise-wide employee reporting; build automated self-service dashboards and scalable reporting solutions, and translate analytics into strategic talent initiatives. Maintain and optimize a people data infrastructure across global systems and implement validation frameworks to ensure data accuracy. Qualifications 3+ years in a mid-sized organization (800–3,000 employees) with full ownership of the people technology stack. Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional technology projects from planning through execution. Experience with API integrations, data mapping, and system architecture design. Hands-on ownership of ADP (administration, configuration, optimization). Advanced Excel with the ability to build complex reports and analyze large datasets. Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for scalable people analytics solutions. Strong people data analysis experience with HR metrics (attrition, engagement, headcount trends) and translating insights into business actions. Track record of leading system transformations and platform migrations. Solid understanding of HR compliance and data governance; knowledge of data privacy regulations and security best practices. Deep expertise in HRIS, ATS, and related People technologies; ability to optimize platforms to enhance employee experience and program outcomes.
