The Regional Director leads a team of Activities Directors to develop and implement innovative programs that enhance resident engagement and satisfaction.Responsibilities:Develops and leads Activity program-specific training for the organization, including authoring applicable materials, curriculum, and resources.Ensures that all community leadership teams are sufficiently trained to facilitate training of their own at the community level.Maintains effective, regular and professional communications with Activities Directors, Executive Directors and others as needed.Participates in the development of activity program standards, systems, policies and procedures.Identifies barriers to success and communicates those barriers early and often, with recommended solutions.Participates in the development of activity programming that provides a dynamic, creative, socially engaging atmosphere.Ensure that all activity programs focus on meeting the needs of residents.Assists in recruiting, onboarding and training new Activities leadership including Activity Directors and other Activities team members.Participation in financial performance management and maintain oversight of community spenddown and labor management.Creates and enforces policies around standardization and expectations of Activity programs.Identifies areas of opportunity within communities and effectively mitigates subpar performance.Ensure standards are defined, tracked and communicated in a consistent manner using various resources.Develop relationships and a professional network with vendors and other industry leaders.Must have:At least 5 years of experience in an engagement/activity related role in an educational, recreational, residential care or similar setting.At least 3 years in a management/leadership role.Multi-site experience and proven operational expertise required.Would be great:Bachelor's degree in Leisure studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Sociology, Education or related field preferred.Continued education and/or certifications related to Activities such as Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals coursesActivity Director Certified (ADC),Activity Professional Apprentice Certified (APAC), Activity Professional Certified (APC),Activity Consultant Certified (ACC), and/or other equivalent credentials.Continued education and/or certifications related to Geriatric Fitness.What we offerBENEFITS:Dental PlanVision PlanHealth InsuranceCritical Illness andAccident Coverage401(k) Retirement Savings PlanHealth and Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending (FSAs)Paid Vacation, Sick, Holiday, Bereavement LeaveTuition reimbursementTeam Member Referral ProgramSpot Pet Insurance – up to 20% discount for employeesPay rate $85,000 to $95,000 DOE per yearEqual Opportunity EmployerAll qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to their race,color, religion, sex, age, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, geneticinformation, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law, andwill not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
