OverviewAlice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems. The quantum computer we envision is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit. Cat qubits can implement quantum error correction autonomously. We are at the forefront of the quantum race and growing fast after securing €100 million of funding in 2025. Join us on a mission to reshape the future!About the Role: Alice & Bob is transitioning from a cutting-edge research lab to a product-focused quantum computing company. As part of this transformation, we’re creating Quantum HPC, a new team bridging technical expertise and customer engagement. We’re looking for a Quantum Hardware & Physics Specialist to join this team. You will play a key role in technical conversations with HPC centers, our natural early adopters and help shape how our superconducting “cat qubits” are understood, integrated, and used.ResponsibilitiesLead technical meetings with HPC clients and partnersPresent our core technology: superconducting cat qubits, roadmap to FTQC, integration challengesConvey complex scientific ideas and the vision of Alice & Bob to technical and non-technical audiences in talks, hackathons, workshops, meetingsPrepare high-quality technical content: briefs, diagrams, comparison tools, slidesContribute to internal work on machine development in accordance with your expertise: experiments, theory, specifications, cryogenics, RF, hardware/software stackInteract with customers as a scientific expertHelp align our internal tech development with real-world constraints and needsRequirementsPhD or MSc in quantum physics, superconducting circuits, or similar field, with 3 years of experienceComfortable navigating between lab-level details and real-world applicationsExcellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
