Senior Engineer

OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Engineer with deep expertise in structural and line design analysis for transmission and distribution systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge of utility systems, California regulatory codes, and engineering software. You will serve as a technical lead and mentor, supporting design, field construction, and emergency restoration.ResponsibilitiesPerform structural and line design using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Caisson.Lead QA/QC processes to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards.Review/design pole foundations and assess existing infrastructure.Support field construction teams, conduct inspections, and assist in emergency restoration.Maintain design specifications and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in transmission engineering practices.Experience and QualificationsBachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.Active California Civil PE License.7+ years of engineering experience in transmission/distribution line design.Knowledge of California GO95, NESC, and ASCE codes.Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, AutoCAD.Nice-to-Have ExperiencePLS-Caisson proficiency.Experience with SPIDAcalc.SkillsTransmission and distribution line designCalifornia Civil PE LicensePLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, AutoCADPreferred SkillsPLS-CaissonSPIDAcalcUtility QA/QC oversightAdditional SkillsField construction supportEmergency restoration engineeringMentorship of junior engineersSafety compliance and inspectionBenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundContract DetailsPosition Type: ContractContract Duration: 12 monthsStart: 09/02/2025End: 09/01/2026Pay Rate: $98.77 – $111.73/hrShift/Hours: 8 AM – 5 PMLocation & OnsiteLocation: Pomona, CAOnsite Flexibility: Hybrid (2 days in office)About the ClientMajor California electric utility delivering power to millions.
