This position serves as the principal internal UX lead, collaborating with both internal partners and external vendors to shape and implement design strategy. The successful candidate will excel at transforming technical complexity into simple, clear, and actionable workflows—ensuring sophisticated analytics are accessible and intuitive for users of all backgrounds.ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end UX design process for PAT, from discovery to deliveryStructure and enhance the application’s information architecture to accommodate complex data setsDevelop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that communicate and validate design conceptsPartner closely with developers and product managers throughout the design and development lifecycleAdvocate for user-centered design principles across internal teams and with external partnersWork within and continuously improve a shared design system to support consistency and scalabilityIdeal qualifications, skills and experienceMinimum 5 years’ experience in UX, product design, or related fields, ideally with exposure to SaaS or data-intensive productsExceptional critical thinking and systems-level problem-solving abilitiesOutstanding communication skills, able to articulate UX value to diverse audiencesExpertise in applying heuristic evaluation and comparative analysis, especially in environments with limited user researchBonus: Experience or training in software engineering, finance, anthropology, or scientific research methodologiesTechnical Skill SetProficiency with design tools such as Figma, Storybook, or similar platforms for managing design systems and developer handoffFamiliarity with HTML/CSS and an understanding of developer workflows is an assetCompensation and BenefitsAlong with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation.
