At Launch Potato, you’ll accelerate your career by owning outcomes, moving fast, and driving impact with a global team of high-performers.BASE SALARY: $110,000 to $150,000 per yearMUST HAVE:5–7+ years in technical/messaging operations or marketing technologyExpertise with high-volume messaging platforms and APIs (e.g., SendGrid, Twilio, Mailgun, Sailthru)Advanced knowledge of email deliverability protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and domain/IP managementProficiency in HTML/CSS for email, spreadsheets, and comfort editing landing page/web contentStrong scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar) with experience building internal automation toolsProven success leading platform migrations, vendor integrations, and owning lifecycle messaging systemsExcellent communication skills and documentation habitsEXPERIENCE: 5-7+ years in messaging infrastructure, automation, or MarTech with a strong track record of hands-on execution and cross-functional ownership.YOUR ROLEOwn and optimize Launch Potato’s messaging systems across email, SMS, and push channels to increase reliability, scalability, deliverability, and business impact.OUTCOMESOwn and scale ESP, SMS, and push notification platforms; lead technical vendor relationships and platform configurationsDrive development of lifecycle, transactional, and promotional messaging workflows that increase engagement and retentionLead major data and platform migrations while maintaining compliance and robust documentation standardsMonitor and resolve deliverability, domain, and IP issues across all messaging systems; maintain high inbox performanceBuild lightweight automation tools and scripts to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual workflowsLead root cause analysis and incident resolution related to messaging infrastructureEnable internal stakeholders (especially marketing) through training, documentation, and scalable workflowsCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and product to align messaging execution with company KPIsCOMPETENCIESTechnical Ownership: Takes initiative to own complex infrastructure; drives integrations, migrations, and custom tooling without needing oversight.Technical Expertise: Demonstrates solid hands-on technical foundations in Python, Javascript, HTML/CSS, and messaging platformsStrategic Problem Solving: Thinks holistically about system design, balancing scalability, security, and business needs with hands-on munication & Enablement: Translates technical complexity into clear enablement for internal teams; maintains high-quality documentation and training.Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced environments by proactively identifying gaps and delivering scalable solutions to evolving problems.Detail-Oriented Execution: Applies precision to vendor setups, DNS configs, API integrations, and audits to ensure quality and compliance at every step.Collaboration: Partners seamlessly with engineers, marketers, and analysts to align tools, data, and operations around business outcomes.Growth Mindset: Seeks new technical challenges and continually improves processes to enable innovation and reliability in messaging systems.Total CompensationBase salary is set according to market rates for the nearest major metro and varies based on Launch Potato’s Levels Framework. Your compensation package includes a base salary, profit-sharing bonus, and competitive benefits.
