Team Overview We are a leading technology company in the IoT space with a strong focus on leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency and enhance our internal business processes. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Business Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and improving our internal business applications, ensuring seamless operations, and optimizing business processes and performance. This role will also collaborate with developers, vendors, and 3rd party support teams. What You Will Do Application Programming: Lead hands-on technical and operational integration for internal line of business applications (e.g., CRM, ERP, HRMS), including designing and configuring applications, developing implementation plans, triaging and debugging permission issues Develop custom scripts and automation tools to extend system functionality and improve performance Analyze existing programs and develop logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding and tests/debugs programs, and prepare systems and programming documentation Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and functional issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations Maintain system standards and efficiently resolve application-related problems in collaboration with developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders System Enhancements & Process Optimization: Architect and implement system enhancements and upgrades, translating business requirements into functional specifications and system designs Own testing and validation efforts to ensure enhancements meet business requirements and adhere to established quality standards Leverage data insights and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve and refine business processes Document detailed business process models, including "as-is" and "to-be" states, to guide system enhancements and drive process improvements Implementation and Training: Author comprehensive documentation of system configurations, business rules, and procedures to ensure accurate knowledge transfer and support continuity Develop technical documentation, including user training sessions and onboarding materials, to ensure effective system utilization and increase end-user adoption and proficiency Own end-user troubleshooting and serve as an escalation point for complex system issues Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects of significant impact, managing and executing all phases from planning to implementation Serve as a technical lead for enterprise system upgrades, migrations and architecture reviews Adapt to shifting priorities and create strategies to mitigate downstream implications to partners What You Will Bring Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) 8+ years proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst and Administrator or similar role supporting internal line of business applications, such as a CRM, ERP, or HRMS 3+ years creating, analyzing, and documenting complex business requirements within finance and operations organizations 3+ years supporting applications under SOX compliance, directly owning evidence collection and audit activity 2+ year experience in programming languages and scripting such as C#, PowerShell, and/or Python 1+ year leveraging a middleware solution, such as Workato or Mulesoft, to facilitate data integrations across business applications Experience working within SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies and best practices and familiarity with IT enterprise process standards and regulations (e.g., ITIL, Lean, PCI, SOX) Experience with system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently Proven background collaborating with multi-functional teams such as Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Operations Experience supporting D365 F&O, Salesforce, ADP Workforce Now, Concur and/or similar business applications Experience with Transact-SQL and data warehousing Benefits and Additional Information The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj and the country where you work.
