Our mission-driven approach ensures we deliver superior products and solutions.ResponsibilitiesYou will support Aegis Combat System Integration Testing for DDG-51 and CG-47 Class ships as a Radar Systems Test and Integration Engineer as part of the Aegis Modernization Team – San Diego (AMT – SD).Ensure the AN/SPY-1 Radar System is operational and available to support Combat System testing during Aegis Modernization Availabilities.Ensure the AN/SPY Radar equipment suite, radar control computer program, and interfaces are operational and ready to support all test events.Provide AN/SPY Radar System status reports to the AWS Lead Engineer/Test Directors as needed.Review existing AN/SPY-1 test procedures, recommend changes, and document discrepancies for future revision.Execute Test Procedures and Test Plans to demonstrate radar performance for in-port and at-sea test events and generate test reports.Analyze test results and report findings to support functional tests involving the radar system.Collaborate with ISEA, CSEA, and SSA to research and resolve SPY system anomalies.Lead troubleshooting of AN/SPY-1 Radar System equipment, configuration, and computer program problems and document discrepancies.Ensure AN/SPY-1 radiation safety processes are up-to-date and followed within OSHA limits.Support crew familiarization with AN/SPY-1 Radar System equipment, maintenance, and operations; support Fleet Readiness troubleshooting calls.QualificationsMust be physically able to work aboard a U.S. Navy ship and support short underway periods.Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time CONUS and OCONUS.BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering field or applicable experience.Demonstrated experience with Phased Array Radar hardware/software and testing procedures, and the ability to analyze test results and report findings.Understanding of computer/network system theory and operations, basic Electrical Test Equipment (Oscilloscope, Power Meters, Logic Analyzer), and LINUX/UNIX operating termediate level of competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).Ability to work on Naval Vessels in-port and underway; willing to work in confined spaces and climb ladders/steep stairs.Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (Final); DoD Interim Secret Clearance with ability to obtain/maintain final clearance.
