OverviewTalent Acquisition Partner - North America at Quest GlobalSummary: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Camera Validation Engineer with strong expertise in the development and testing of camera and display systems within the consumer electronics industry. In this role, you will play a key part in integrating and optimizing next-generation Computer Vision and RGB cameras as well as see-through display systems for both current and future smart wearable and augmented reality devices. Your work will directly contribute to advancing the capabilities and quality of cutting-edge wearable and augmented reality products.You will be a key contributor to system-level validation efforts for optics across emerging wearable technologies. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing tests, analyzing data, and conducting both objective and subjective evaluations of camera system performance encompassing hardware and software components of the imaging pipeline. Additionally, you will provide expert hands-on support for system and user-level characterization and calibration, as well as occasional manufacturing test support at partner sites. Conduct objective and subjective evaluations of camera system performance across hardware and software components of the imaging pipeline. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Master/'s Degree in Imaging Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, Image Processing or related fields. 3+ years of experience as a test engineer validating against image/video quality metrics and calibrating compact optical systems. Hands-on experience in an optical lab with data acquisition setups. Knowledge of industry image quality test protocols and standards; experience with camera and display metrics. Experience implementing and debugging image quality test infrastructure and evaluation platforms (e.g., Imatest). Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, opencv) and willingness to learn new libraries. Familiarity with ADB commands for debugging and data acquisition. Strong communication skills and ability to generate informative reports for hardware and software teams. Analytical problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a cross-functional team. Required: 5+ years of experience in imaging science or related field. Familiarity with hardware development of image sensors, optics, display engines and their evaluation methodologies. Understanding of system-level interactions in imaging and display pipelines in products with multiple sensor modalities. Basic knowledge of optical simulation tools and mechanical design software for test design. Experience evaluating optical hardware, image processing techniques, and ISP blocks for mobile cameras. Hands-on experience prototyping imaging test targets and interfacing fixtures with optical components. Experience debugging image quality issues and identifying root causes. Experience device bring-up and debugging including firmware flashing and scripting for data acquisition and processing.
