Smarte Carte is focused on being environmentally responsible by owning / operating recyclable equipment and reducing our carbon footprint.Basic Function : Ensure daily operational performance goals are met by providing direct / tactical leadership for the labor force in the passenger terminal areas through service, maintenance, collections, and communication, to improve productivity, vend quality, and the customer experience.Key Responsibilities :Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloadsMaintain a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment.Perform the same Cart Associate work duties as those supervised, including but limited to :Collect and transport carts to ensure carts are available for customer use;Provide customer service to airport passengers;Light cleaning of carts and rental equipment;Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.Explain regulations, policies, or proceduresProvide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaintsMaintain excellent communication and cooperation with employees, facility management, airline management and other government officials (CBP, TSA, FBI, etc.)Inspect equipment; carts, CMU's, Cushman's, etc., perform emergency maintenance or take equipment out of service, report maintenance needsAssist with collections, counting / recording money, documenting meter readingsAssess training needs of staff and arrange for or provide appropriate instructionOther duties as assignedSkills :Motivating, developing, and directing employees, identifying the best employees for the jobManaging one's own time and the time of othersTechnologically adept and receptive to learn computer-based reporting toolsMaintains an enthusiastic and positive "Can Do" attitude, that fosters teamwork and unityAbility to stay poised and professional in high pressure situationsCapable of focusing on the "Big Picture" rather than immediate short-term effectsAbility to apply the appropriate level of workplace flexibilityReceptive to criticism and feedback from your team in order to improve the operationHigh degree of integrity and self-disciplineAbility to effectively analyze data and problem solve situations based on available informationCapable of teaching others to perform specific tasks; selecting and using training / instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.Monitoring / Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective actionStrong interpersonal & communication skillsRunning, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipmentExperience :Proven leadership skills; previous supervisor experience preferredCash control experience preferredGeneral knowledge of vended service products preferredQualifications :Computer and Smart Phone proficientExcellent customer serviceExcellent verbal communication skillsBilingual preferred, but not requiredEducation :High School DiplomaCertifications / Licenses :Ability to get Airport Badged requiredDrivers License is requiredPhysical Requirements :Lift 40lbsPush / pull 75lbsWalk & stand for duration of shiftSkills :Required :Flexibility : AdvancedReporting : NoviceTime Management : IntermediateComputer : IntermediateCustomer Service : AdvancedCommunication : IntermediateCoaching : IntermediatePreferred :Data Analysis : NoviceScheduling : IntermediatePeople Management : IntermediateBehaviors : Required :Team Player : Works well as a member of a groupPreferred :Leader : Inspires teammates to follow themEnthusiastic : Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interestMotivations : Required :Self-Starter : Inspired to perform without outside helpEducation :Required :High School or better.Experience :Preferred :Previous Cash control experience preferredPrevious supervisor experience preferredLicenses & Certifications :Required :Airport BadgeDrivers LicenseEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
