Mid or Senior Level Environmental Engineer (P3)

Locus Environmental is seeking a full-time Mid-Level Environmental Engineer (5 to 10 years of experience) to join our Santa Clara, CA office. The position will lead and support projects involving investigation, monitoring, remediation, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of treatment systems. Responsibilities include field and technical work, data analysis and reporting, and project management. This role offers mentorship from senior staff and opportunities to guide junior staff. Our team is deeply committed to environmental stewardship, and we foster a collaborative culture that provides exceptional opportunities for professional growth and development.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and oversee operations O&M of remediation systems, including groundwater treatment systemsConduct and supervise routine extraction and monitoring well maintenanceOversees and conducts groundwater monitoring, indoor air sampling, and mitigation system installationDesign and implement treatability studies and treatment systemsPrepare and follow work plans, HASPs, and SOPsCoordinates with laboratories, drillers, vendors and subcontractorsConducts and leads analytical tasks such as field mapping, preparing tables, and charts using software reporting toolsEvaluates and interprets field and sampling results, develops conclusions and recommends remedial measures in written reportsCommunicates with clients and stakeholdersInterprets and follows environmental regulations and ordersAssists with project managements tasks including developing/managing/communicating schedules, budgets and tasks with project teamAssists in the preparation of proposals and cost estimatesCollaborates with a multidisciplinary team of technicians, engineers, and scientistMentor and guide junior staffRequired QualificationsBS or MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related fieldAt least 5 years of environmental remediation experience, with direct involvement in groundwater treatment system O&M and environmental monitoringSelf-starter with good communication and writing skillsAbility to work independentlyAttention to details and strong time management capabilitiesAbility to and willingness to travel to projects sites within Santa Clara County and occasionally outside the area.Desirable QualificationsP.E. or P.G in California or ability to obtain within one year, preferredMS with demonstrated writing skills such as a thesis40-hour HAZWOPER training, preferredExperience with ArcGIS and/or CAD softwareExperience with developing construction plansExperience with solvent groundwater contamination, bioremediation and/or vapor intrusionMechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting skillsApply For PositionFirst Name *Last Name *Email Address *Phone *Current Residence *Are you legally eligible to work in the U.S.?
