The Store Manager thrives working in fast-paced environments where creative problem-solving skills and leadership competencies are critical components to the successful execution of the role.Job SummaryThe Store Manager is responsible for managing and administering the store’s performance, building maintenance, hiring and training, payroll reports, overseeing employees’ activities, and developing strategies to meet sales goals. This individual is in charge of employees’ development and mentorship to improve their retail skills. They will support and address high-level customer service needs while cultivating and maintaining exceptional customer interactions between their staff and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and supervise the work of all store associatesEnsure accountability and equity providing constant feedback and coaching to the staffDemonstrate strong work ethics and lead by example, upholding and promoting company policies, guidelines and proceduresActively and strategically engage employees to achieve superior resultsImplement sales strategies with team to meet company goalsEffectively and regularly communicate company changes and initiatives to employeesSupervise, train and assist employees in customer service, store processes and product promotionsConduct employee performance appraisals, identify training needs, and provide development opportunities to achieve high executionManage employee issues and grievances under the guidance and direction of leadershipImplement cross-training for employees and Assistant Manager to achieve consistent high productivityHire and train new employees to ensure adequate personnel at all timesDemonstrate and manage high levels of customer careAnalyze sales reports to strategize and determine weekly business objectivesReport to leadership on store’s key performance indicators and needsDevelop and maintain a schedule for employeesEnsure daily restock is happening effectivelyEnsure inventory levels are accurate and conduct inventory countsCollaborate with Assistant Manager and Visual Manager in planning and executing an innovative visual environmentAssist with and delegate process for omni-channel sales and fulfillmentCreate and recommend store events and ideas to increase sales and improve brand awareness and presence in the communitySkills, Abilities & RequirementsProven successful experience in retail industryIn-depth knowledge of basic business management processesAbility to work retail hours including weekends and holidaysCustomer service-orientedStrong leadership and interpersonal skills to work with individuals and teamsHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to maintain a professional appearance and follow store’s dress codeMaintain a positive attitude, high energy, and focus on customer satisfactionAnalytical and math skills to create and analyze reports and sales dataAbility to confidently operate office equipment such as computers, printers and telephonesPhysical Requirements & Working ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, climb, walk, and stand for long durations of timeAbility to move and lift equipment and supplies of up to 20 poundsVision abilities include close, distance, color peripheral, and depth perceptionNoise level in the work environment is moderateThis job description is not exhaustive, and you may be required to carry out other duties as requested.Salary Range – CaliforniaFor individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Aviator Nation includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role.
