This position is also being announced to applicants eligible to apply through Merit Staffing procedures under 25-GAN-12797489-MS.ResponsibilitiesDuties: If selected for this position, you will join our Civil Division as a well-respected team member providing substantive legal support to Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) in a variety of specialized litigative activities related to litigation involving government liens, including in rem property actions, litigation under 28 U.S.C. § 2410, quiet title actions, interpleader and excess fund cases, reformation, condemnation, non-judicial foreclosures, eminent domain cases and foreclosure matters. Typical work assignments will include:Provide substantive legal support to AUSAs in specialized litigative activities related to government liens and related actionsAssist with in rem property actionsAssist with litigation under 28 U.S.C. § 2410Assist with quiet title actions, interpleader and excess fund casesSupport reformation, condemnation, non-judicial foreclosures, eminent domain cases and foreclosure mattersQualificationsRequirementsYou must be a U.S. Citizen or NationalInitial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing.
