Position : Chief Talent OfficerLocation : Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid, 2 days / week onsite)Pay : $275,000 to $300,000 annuallyExperience : 10+ years of progressive leadership in HR in a law firm or other professional services environment to lead firm human resources, attorney and staff recruiting, professional development, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs and succession planning.Education : Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications (JD, SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.Type : Full-time; Direct HireSchedule : Monday – Friday,9 : 00am to 5 : 30pm (With ability to travel to other offices)Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Chief Talent Officer to join our dynamic law firm client!Job Description :Serve as a trusted advisor to Firm leadership on all talent-related matters, aligning recruiting, professional development, HR and DEI initiatives with strategic goals.Drive initiatives that enhance attorney and staff engagement, collaboration and culture across all offices.Shape and lead recruiting strategy; Oversee onboarding, mentoring, CLE, and career development programs that strengthen retention and long-term growth.Oversee all HR operations (performance management, employee relations and compliance, while ensuring HR programs support recruiting and development priorities).Partner with the Chief Operating Officer to design competitive compensation and benefits programs.Lead retention, wellness and engagement initiatives tailored to a high-performing legal workforce.Oversee compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations; Write / implement new policies and procedures and maintain the Firm Personnel Manual.Champion DEI strategy, partnering with the DEI Committee to build measurable initiatives that integrate diversity and inclusion into recruiting, professional development, and Firm culture.Position Requirements :Proven success leading hiring and development programs at a strategic and operational level.Expertise across HR disciplines (employee relations, benefits, compensation, compliance, succession planning, and staff professional development).Strong understanding of legal industry talent trends, attorney career trajectories, law school recruiting cycles and best practices in lateral attorney hiring.Expertise in federal and California state employment and wage and hour laws (knowledge / experience with DC, TX, AZ, CO, WA is a plus).Exceptional relationship-building skills and communication skills, including coaching / providing guidance and writing / updating Firm policies.Must be proactive, customer service oriented, energetic, reliable with impeccable integrity, excellent judgment, and sensitivity to others.Enthusiasm, diverse interests, and a good sense of humor are also useful and appreciated.Kent Daniels & Associates is part of Array Corporation , the leading technology-enabled workforce solutions company whose mission is to fix how labor is bought, sold and delivered to enable universal access to the American Dream.Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
