Senior Engineering Program Manager – ASE AI/ML EPM ManagerCupertino, California, United States Software and ServicesThe Apple Media Products (AMP) is an exciting environment and dynamic development organization. With customers in 155 countries, we are a fast-growing marketplace for music, movies, TV shows, books - and, of course, apps.Successful Engineering Program Managers are responsible for shipping new features. We're looking for people with the ability to ship complex, customer-facing products under demanding timelines. This is a hands-on position where the Program Manager will be involved in requirements analysis, functional and technical design discussions, testing, proof-of-concept, working with partners, and more. This is not a task-based job; you will be responsible for successful outcomes and delivery. Strong fundamentals are a requirement but you have to have more. You take responsibility; you feel a personal stake in the products you ship; you communicate responsibilities and scope clearly; you value integrity; you know how things work; you work for the success of the entire team; you thrive in uncertainty and strive to bring order to it; you have deep wisdom and judgement; you keep your eye on the ball; you build strong relationships; you are aware of politics but do not get mired in them; you are constantly looking to improve yourself and your team; you're prescient; and you ship products which millions of customers will use.Description• Drive and ship large, multi-functional programs and feature areas• Lead all aspects of multiple concurrent features including scope, requirements, timelines, and resource allocation• Day-to-day will include program managing, execution, risk assessments, in order to meet the overall program goals• Foster collaboration across a broad team of cross-functional partners to formulate roadmap and manage intake pipeline• Take a role in improving how features are built and executed in the Apple Media Products organization• Help set the strategy and communicate status and issues to stakeholders at all levels• Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Data Science, QA, Legal, Finance, Privacy, Anti-Fraud, Business Operations and other organizations to develop and improve Apple Media Products’ suite of featuresMinimum QualificationsProgram or technical product management in software development5+ years of program management and experience taking features through the complete software development life cyclePreferred QualificationsStrong strategic thinking, problem solving, and logical structuring abilitiesBest-in-class communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to all levels of an organization2+ years of people management preferredProven track record of shipping complex customer facing and backend projects under demanding timelinesBuilt global products by collaborating across product, engineering, data sciences, analytics, design and other key stakeholdersAbility to turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plansStrong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings)Strong technical proficiency with program experience in Search and/or Recommendations preferredExperience working with a global teamStrong ability to multi-taskA/B testing experienceAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,600 and $313,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
