Construction Estimator

Our client, located in the Washington, DC area, has an immediate need for a Mid Level Civil Construction Estimator position with infrastructure experience.Duties Include:Coordinates total estimating effort relevant to project assignedRail/Transit design and construction a plusReviews construction documents including proposal specifications and drawingsAttends pre-bid meetings to fully understand the scope of work to bidInputs take-off quantities into estimating softwareSearch and analyze most cost-effective means and methods of constructionObtains pricing for materialsPrepares bids by coordinating with and selecting vendors and subcontractors to determine cost effectiveness of projects to be bidPrepares cost analysis in computer by itemizing material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of itemsWhere predetermined standard(s) are not available, makes an estimate and qualificationsFollow awarded contracts as assigned; may include estimating extra work items, change orders or creditsInforms the immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in bid documentDevelops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.Advises all necessary parties of major changes to scope of workOnce project complete debriefing with estimating, engineering and production teams to discuss the outcomeMaintain back up files and working documents for all estimated figures including current, accurate information and costs from suppliers and subcontractorsAttends departmental meetings as requiredPhotocopies documents and plansFor consideration submit resume to here to apply online #J-18808-Ljbffr
