The position will be highly visible within GLS and will have the opportunity to influence the financial direction of the company.How will you drive value within the organization as a Director, Financial Analytics?Build an overall understanding of the GLS business model through the use and interpretation of the GLS five-year financial model and related frameworks; update senior management on GLS financial performance and identify key variances to plan; identify the root cause of variances and explain them to senior managementBuild an understanding of key drivers of capital needs at GLS; advise senior management on capital needs over short and long-term planning horizonsAnalyze and interpret financial scenarios available to GLS and evaluate trade-offs, constraints, and other key considerations to maximize profitabilityBuild a comprehensive understanding of the key factors influencing GLS asset and securitization performance and manage the process to update, maintain and improve related financial frameworksManage analysts responsible for updating and maintaining the five-year financial model, the daily liquidity forecast, the loan loss reserve model, cash flow models at the vintage and event month level, monthly and quarterly financial reporting to the Board of Directors, the monthly loss variance analysis, a monthly asset level profitability analysis, securitization cash flow models, fair value asset models and other analysesLead the development of analysts including training in job responsibilities and developing competenciesAssist with ad hoc financial analysesParticipate in special projects as needed, including Corporate Development functionsPerform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by managementWhat should you already know to be successful as a Director, Financial Analytics?Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering, or a related field requiredMinimum of six (6) years’ experience in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, data analytics or similar role requiredPrior professional experience with complex financial or data models, including financial statement modeling, highly preferredPrior management experience in a financial modeling or data analytics role preferredExcellent analytical, problem solving, and data gathering skills requiredStrong Excel skills required; familiarity with SQL, Snowflake or related database programs preferredPossess a high level of intellectual curiosity with a natural inclination to understand business models and strategies through analysisHigh degree of critical thinking skills; ability to effectively evaluate options, understand gaps or flaws in analysis, and resolve gaps to completionExcellent organizational skills with high attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsCommitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competenciesEmployment Requirements:This position is full-timeThis job operates in a professional office environment, primarily indoorsSignificant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterityThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quietBe able to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, bending, and kneelingThe position does not require travel2023 California Applicant Privacy NoticeGLS participates in theE-Verifyprogram to confirm the employment eligibility of all newly hired employeesPlease visitinformation about our great company and other amazing opportunitiesApplicants have rights under Federal Employment LawsFamily and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA) #J-18808-Ljbffr
