In this role, you will Provide architectural leadership, decision-making, and standards setting across modernization, migration, and transformation efforts. Triage and resolve issues with code migration, database migration, and Service Portal transitions to AWS. Prioritize and recommend solutions for architectural and coding defects—short-term fixes and long-term strategies. Collaborate with the Lead Architect, PMO, transformation vendors, and legacy code MSP to align on decisions and direction. Establish best practices for architecture, testing, release management, and documentation. Advise on future-state architecture, including transition toward message-based, cloud-native design. Who You Are 10+ years of experience building and supporting large-scale Java applications. Strong, hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture and migrations. Experience leading or supporting data center migrations to the cloud. Background in working with vendors and offshore teams. Proven ability to manage and support complex releases and code branching strategies. Nice-to-Have Qualifications: Experience with DB2 and Postgres. Familiarity with message-based architectures and microservices design. A strategic yet hands-on architect who thrives in modernization and migration programs. A strong communicator who can bridge business, vendors, and technical teams. A problem solver who can stabilize migration challenges while designing the future-state cloud architecture.
