Vertical Short Drama Director (Contract)

Vertical Short Drama Director (Contract) Interactive Films is seeking a talented and collaborative Director to join our creative team for an upcoming vertical short drama project with gameplay integration. This role is ideal for a filmmaker who has previously directed a vertical and is passionate about fast-paced, story-driven vertical short-form content. Experience working in games is a plus as well. Responsibilities Pre-Production: Collaborate closely with producers to align creative direction with audience goals Production: Plan and direct vertical short-form series from prep through wrap, filming internationally; ensure creative vision is executed within time and budget constraints; international travel is required Post-Production: Work with the editor through post, review cuts, and provide clear and actionable editing notes; collaborate with post team, producers, game developers, and studio executives to align with vertical pacing standards and company vision Qualifications Prior vertical short drama directing experience (required) Ability to lead a film crew on-set, internationally (required) International production experience (required) Graduate of an accredited film school Strong visual storytelling skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment Game development experience is a plus Understanding of Unreal Engine is a plus Experience in virtual production is a plus Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus Compensation $5,000 - $10,000 depending on experience (Contract Role) Location Culver City, CA / Los Angeles, CA Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Design, Art/Creative, and Information Technology Industries Software Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
