RequirementsMust haveBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.10-12 years of experience leading teams, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting business applications in a regulated financial services environment (preferably banking).Hands-on experience with Calypso v16 or higher (on-premises preferred); understanding Calypso architecture, customization and extension capabilities (APIs and infrastructure).Familiar with Calypso modules: Bonds, Swaps, Money Market, Workflows, SDIs, Accounting, Task Station, Corporate Actions, Scheduled Tasks, ERS, Reporting, Static and Reference Data.Working knowledge of fixed income and derivative instruments, treasury, capital markets, and accounting.Understanding of operating systems and application security configurations; best practices in Windows and UNIX itiative to pursue assignments and support requests to their logical conclusion using SDLC standards as required.10-12 years of Object-oriented programming (OOP) and Java experience, including designing, proposing, documenting technology solutions, and developing client applications and web services.Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., Oracle) with expertise in PL/SQL and SQL.Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, and Serverless Framework.Experience designing, developing, and implementing web services in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in banking/capital markets systems.Experience developing functional and technical specifications for financial and/or accounting system enhancements.Experience with large-scale enterprise-wide system implementations in financial services; familiarity with modern CI/CD tools and practices.Ability to create and execute application test cases and test plans.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.ResponsibilitiesServe as a team lead for a software development team and provide business support for production systems in assigned business units.Oversee all phases of the system development life cycle including planning, monitoring, designing, developing, integrating, and implementing custom and packaged solutions to achieve business objectives.Define project requirements and make decisions regarding technical and functional directions.Prepare user requirements, technical specifications, and design documents.Lead software development efforts and make architectural suggestions to improve design quality.Establish coding standards and guide the Peer Code Review process.Provide technical support during system acceptance testing and validation activities.Determine appropriate agile processes for projects and provide leadership as necessary.Drive the ongoing enhancement of engineering processes and oversee system maintenance and periodic reviews.Analyze existing system designs for improvement opportunities and implement solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.Track issues, identify trends, and drive new designs to prevent future problems.Conduct meetings with team members and business partners to discuss new concepts, issues, and projects.Perform system failure analyses and recommend corrective actions.Lead root cause analyses and devise long-term panyThe salary range for this position is between $195K and $215K.
