OverviewSenior Consultant–Electronics Life Cycle Assessment. WSP is looking for a talented individual to join our Sustainability, Energy and Climate division to support electronics and technology client projects with Life Cycle Assessments (LCA). This position could be based in one of multiple U.S. office locations: Portland, OR; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY; New York, NY; Greensboro, NC; Bethlehem, PA; San Francisco, CA; San Diego, CA; Arlington, VA; Boulder, CO. Other locations can be arranged for an exceptional candidate.The individual will lead client-facing teams in the design, management, and reporting of product and organizational sustainability programs in the electronics and technology sectors, focusing on LCA. The candidate should be flexible across projects, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams, and passionate about LCA, sustainability, and climate resilience.Your ImpactLead delivery with electronics LCA projects from start to finish, including:Researching and collecting life cycle inventory data, performing quality assurance, and developing new datasets to fill data gapsModeling in software platforms such as LCA For Experts (formerly GaBi), SimaPro, GREET and openLCADeveloping product life cycle assessments to calculate impacts (GHG emissions, energy use, water use, consumption and scarcity, waste, and other impacts)Producing ISO-conformant reports and presentations based on LCA resultsProducing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), eco passports/profiles, and LCA background reports per PCRs and EU PEF methodologyResearch opportunities to reduce environmental impacts in the life cycle of a product or serviceProduce sustainability reports, disclosures, and other communicationsDevelop and maintain data management systems and business intelligence toolsSupport business development activities with existing and prospective clientsAdhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policiesPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needsQualificationsRequiredBachelor→s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental disciplineMinimum of 6 years of professional experience in product sustainability and LCA consulting in electronics/technology sectorsExperience with ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 conformant LCA reportsFamiliarity with product design, manufacturing, supply chain, circular economy, and waste reduction methodsStrong interpersonal skills, credibility, and integrityExcellent oral and written communications; proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPointAbility to develop and present analyses using Excel, Access, and Power BIAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficientlyAbility to collaborate remotely across geographiesUphold workplace safety and comply with health, safety, and harassment policiesOccasional travel may be requiredPreferredMaster→s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental disciplineExperience with LCA software (GaBi, SimaPro, openLCA, GREET) and PCR/PEFKnowledge of ISO 14025, 14040/14044, and related standardsExperience with other sectors (food & beverage, agriculture, apparel/textiles, construction products) and EPDs/PEFFamiliarity with circularity standards and water footprint methodologiesBenefits and CompensationWSP provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, retirement savings, paid leave, and other programs.
