OverviewInformation System Security Officer (ISSO) and Physical Security SpecialistGE Aerospace is seeking a skilled Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with additional expertise in physical security technologies. This position will serve as an advisor and authoritative voice on information security within the Enterprise Physical Security (EPS), Global Security Team. Based in Washington, DC, with occasional travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, the ISSO will oversee cybersecurity for secure facility information systems, ensuring compliance with government and industry standards in collaboration with the Program Security Officer (PSO). This role is on-site and involves managing secure facilities, coordinating with government sponsors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of security and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary or alternate COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO), ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.Act as the primary liaison between GE Aerospace/'s Digital Technology Team and GE Aerospace/'s Global Security - Enterprise Physical Security Team.Manage access and coordination with government sponsor(s) for a Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) - Secure Conference Room (SCR).Ensure compliance with the Joint Special Access Implementation Guide (JSIG) and the DoD implementation guide for the Risk Management Framework (RMF).Provide guidance and training to ensure user awareness concerning unauthorized or illegal use of computer hardware and software.Execute daily physical security technology and cybersecurity activities, including planning, coordination, audits, scans, and other compliance measures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of security and operational efficiency.Utilize technical expertise and judgment to solve problems and leverage analytic thinking to drive solutions.The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a detail-oriented cybersecurity professional with strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities. They thrive in a collaborative environment and have experience managing secure facilities and coordinating with government sponsors.Basic QualificationsBachelor/'s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).4 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related role.Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices, including Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF).Experience managing secure facilities, such as SAPFs and/or SCIFs, and coordinating with government sponsors.Familiarity with DoD and/or Intelligence Community COMSEC policies and procedures.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+, COMSEC certifications) are highly desirable.Preferred QualificationsRisk Assessment and Business Acumen: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential threats and vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks; understand internal and external factors affecting the formation & Analytical Thinking: Collect, analyze, and interpret information to anticipate and counteract security threats; solve complex security problems and make informed decisions.Adaptability and Resilience: Adapt to changing security landscapes and recover quickly from terpersonal Skills & Customer Service: Strong networking and collaboration capabilities, cultural competence, high emotional intelligence, and respectful security munication Skills: Able to convey security policies, procedures, and incident reports to stakeholders at all levels; active listening and relationship building.Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee security projects within scope, schedule, and budget.Previous SAP or SCI experience; Knowledge of ICD 705.Additional InformationMust be a U.S. citizen.Must have an active Top Secret security clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years).The base pay range for this position is $93,300.00-124,400.00 USD Annual; eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus depending on plan.GE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support health and wellbeing, retirement, and other assistance programs.GE Aerospace is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
