We are seeking a Head of Underwriting to lead the underwriting function and drive execution excellence.Position Summary :This is an executive-level role with full authority over underwriting decisions, policies, and workflow. The Head of Underwriting will oversee all underwriting personnel, manage the underwriting lifecycle, lead funding calls, and ensure compliance with internal risk protocols. The ideal candidate will have deep MCA industry experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to scale teams and systems in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role requires relocation to Los Angeles, CA.Key Responsibilities :Own and manage the full underwriting process for high-volume MCA submissions, with a focus on C & D paper.Create and enforce risk and compliance policies.Lead and mentor the underwriting team; oversee onboarding, training, and performance.Design and optimize underwriting workflows, technology platforms, and CRMs for scale and efficiency.Collaborate with sales, operations, and funding teams to streamline deal flow.Lead funding calls and ensure readiness of deals for wire / funding stages.Partner with ISO / broker channels to improve submission quality, onboarding, and compliance.Monitor portfolio trends, emerging risks, and adjust underwriting guidelines accordingly.Report on underwriting KPIs and performance to executive leadership.Qualifications :5+ years MCA underwriting experience, including C & D paper.Proven track record in executive or senior roles with final authority over funding decisions.Experience scaling underwriting teams and workflows in high-volume environments.Strong operational acumen with expertise in MCA platforms, CRMs (Salesforce preferred), and data tools.Extensive knowledge of fraud detection, stacking behaviors, and underwriting metrics.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field pensation & Perks :Base salary : $150,000 – $250,000 (DOE)Unlimited earning potentialLong-term rewards #J-18808-Ljbffr
