Overview The Senior Systems Analyst, ERP System & Controls is part of the Center of Excellence team, a cross functional team responsible for developing and managing ERP cloud strategy, applications, data governance and best practices that the rest of the organization can leverage to transform the business. This role defines and communicates the product vision and delivery roadmap of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Payroll/Time and Labor/Absence Management Applications, Fusion Analytics (Business Intelligence) and Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms. The Sr. Systems Analyst is focused on delivering best-in-class ERP capabilities and improving the value and benefits of the platform to meet organizational goals. The role coordinates with key collaborators to inform the product vision, backlog prioritization and delivery releases and is responsible for the product life cycle of the ERP platform. Role Details Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst, ERP System & Controls Job Code: P0586 Department: Finance-ERP Center of Excellence Work Format: Hybrid Reports To: Manager, ERP System & Control New or Revised: Revised Regular or At-Will: At-Will Date Last Revised: 6/25/2024 Exempt or Non-Exempt: Exempt EEO Code: Professionals Cost Center Code: 300018 · Grade: NU17 Essential Duties & Responsibilities Partners with business leadership to support the overall performance of the system, supporting the Center of Excellence vision and initiatives, establishing goals, and reporting achievement progress. Identifies, coordinates, and resolves system issues by working with DC Water Business, IT, Managed Care Services, and software vendor support centers. Initiates and participates in projects related to improvements and automation of business processes in Finance/Procurement/Payroll applications; develops cost/benefit analyses to support system initiatives. Collaborates with management to provide status updates on projects. Makes decisions requiring research, analysis, and evaluation of multiple variables. Evaluates and recommends changes to ERP configurations and introduces new financial reporting/processing tools to meet organizational needs. Creates business requirements, user test scenarios, test data, test plans and design documents for ERP/EPM/Payroll/Fusion-Data Analytics systems/Data Warehouse enhancements and new projects. Facilitates report creation using OTBI and other reporting tools in Oracle cloud ERP applications; learns new reporting tools as introduced by DCW. Assists business leads with day-to-day ERP process issues and participates in change management by identifying system changes and conducting impact analysis and approvals. Works with end-users to provide training, support, troubleshooting, and collects input on system functionality for potential improvements. Assists in managing audit-related actions and coordinates with internal/external auditors to support controls and objectives. Performs self-directed and management-directed tasks; relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; demonstrates business acumen and strong people skills. Interacts with employees and management at all levels and maintains communications with auditors and consultants. Plays a key role in the implementation, maintenance and delivery of Rates and Revenue reports; responsible for delivering existing reports to business users. Performs data validation of reports using MS Excel, MS Access, and other DCW systems; provides training, support, and troubleshooting for reports; documents requirements for new reports. Upgrades and automates reports for performance improvements; documents report execution and validation procedures; evaluates and recommends report improvements. Identifies and resolves report-related issues by collaborating with DC Water Business and IT teams; facilitates report creation with Power BI and other DCW reporting tools; learns new reporting tools as introduced by DCW. Participates in projects related to Payroll, Time and Labor, Absence Management, Dashboards, KPIs, and Data Migrations for ERP, EPM and HCM applications; analyzes and tests software development life cycle for Oracle Cloud Payroll and Fusion Analytics; prepares end-user solutions and support. Maintains knowledge on KPIs, Dashboard Reports, Summary Reports, and Oracle ERP Applications; tests new releases and patches; maintains documentation for maintenance and change control management; prepares data for software development cycles and enhancements. Required Skills & Qualifications Required Experience: Five (5) years of hands-on experience in systems implementation or support or a high school diploma or equivalency and nine (9) years of hands-on experience in systems implementation or support. Business process design, implementation or assessment across finance, supply chain and human resource business cycles. Advanced Excel Modeling, Data Modeling, and Business Intelligence reporting tools. Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Information Technology (or related field) from an accredited college/university. Required Skills: Understanding of financial and accounting methods; ability to align and lead a team to achieve organizational goals; strong communication, analytical, and ERP knowledge; ability to manage highly technical financial information; independent and self-motivated. Required Languages: English. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Preferred Experience: Training with one or more Oracle Cloud ERP modules (Financials, Procurement, Payroll or Budgeting/EPM). Preferred Education Requirements: Advanced degree and/or professional certification in information technology/business/accounting fields is a plus.
