CAH is the largest of three Executive Branch Courts with over seventy-five full-time equivalents located in St. Paul and Duluth. CAH, with 34 judges, is comparable in size to the Ramsey County District Court with 32 judges. CAH has exclusive, trial-level jurisdiction over 200 unique areas of administrative law and workers’ compensation. This means the decisions of CAH are appealable to higher-level appellate courts (Minnesota Court of Appeals, Minnesota Supreme Court, and Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals) and not at trial-level district courts.This position exists to develop, manage, and directly supervise short and long-range critical infrastructure (physical security, facilities, parking, emergency response and recovery) at the Court of Administrative Hearings two locations (St. Paul and Duluth). This position is responsible for the management of the CAH’s physical safety by administering, managing, planning, monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing design and implementation of physical safety strategy and emergency related programs. This includes directing the agency’s physical safety program and serving as the agency representative in physical safety and operations/logistics related to the management of physical safety, and incident response teams within the agency. This position is responsible for the operational safety of the agency, to ensure that needs are carried out in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
