The Director of Finance for Saint Elizabeth Community oversees and participates in the general financial practices and reporting for entities within Saint Elizabeth Community, with a focus on home health care. This key role is responsible for working with the finance department across divisions to ensure compliance with applicable general accounting principles, and state and federal regulations related to financial practices and reporting. The Director of Finance balances strategic thinking with the ability to be a hands-on contributor, and enjoys developing systems, processes, and team members with a goal of improving the finance function of Saint Elizabeth Community.Who We AreSaint Elizabeth Community is a non-profit, non-sectarian, charitable organization that provides a full spectrum of quality care to older adults and people with physical disabilities. With its non-profit, mission-based focus, superior staff ratios, and reputation for innovative compassionate care, Saint Elizabeth Community prides itself on providing trusted care since 1882.Director Of Finance ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the financial reporting and/or review of financial reporting of several Saint Elizabeth Community entities, which includes but is not limited to monthly financial statements, analyzing performance and risks, and operational dashboards.Monitors cash positions and trial balances for multiple Saint Elizabeth Community entities.Manages cash flow and approves payrolls and accounts payable runs for multiple Saint Elizabeth Community entities.Processes intercompany billing, selected ACH transactions, and selected GL entries.Reviews and creates financials for selected Saint Elizabeth Community entities.Performs the month end close for Saint Elizabeth Home Care.Works with the finance department and administrators in development of the operating budgets and fulfillment of financial reporting requirements.Assists in the development of procedures within the business offices, including providing ongoing training to business office personnel as needed.Assists in developing new systems as they pertain to financial reporting and compliance.Works with auditors in preparation for several year-end audits, in addition to attending audit team meetings for auditor presentations.Assists in the financial reporting for Medicare and Medicaid reports; fulfills audit production requests and participates in audits in order to ensure compliance with these payers.Assists with HUD 202 Section 8 compliance and financial reporting.Provides monthly reports to be presented to the Finance Team.Fulfills various data and information requests from the CFO, which may include dashboards, financial analysis, and similar information.Aids and provides guidance to business office personnel, especially upon any new ventures, mergers, or acquisitions.Assists in the hiring, training, supervision, evaluation, and termination of business office staff.Represents the Community on task forces dealing with financial and reimbursement issues.Attends seminars that are pertinent to the job responsibilities.Director Of Finance QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration with minimum of five years' accounting and financial management of a health services corporation, and/or five years' experience in financial management of a not-for-profit health care entity is required.CPA or CPA candidate preferred.Experience in home health care industry highly dividual must:Be self-directed.Promote quality improvement and team building among staff.Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.Possess solid Microsoft Office and QuickBooks skills.Possess a high degree of computer literacy, especially in the development and maintenance of spreadsheets.Why choose Saint Elizabeth Community?We are a non-profit, independent, locally owned and operated community, providing quality care since 1882 to older adults and people with physical disabilities.With our mission of caring, we are committed to supporting our community with compassionate and innovative care!
