OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Director of Audit and Quality Assurance to lead audit strategy, compliance, and quality assurance processes. This role reviews complex tax incentive studies, ensures accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws, and supports clients during IRS examinations. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of tax law, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a high-performing audit and quality team.Location: Flexible, open to remoteCompensation: Flexible, depending on experienceFocus: Dedicated to R&DKey ResponsibilitiesReview complex tax credit studies and ensure compliance with IRS and state regulations.Analyze contracts, business records, and supporting documentation for compliance.Conduct legal research and draft written opinions on tax-related matters.Prepare responses and manage communications during IRS audits, appeals, and examinations.Develop technical resources to support ongoing tax compliance efforts.Collaborate across departments to design and implement QA processes for new tax programs.Provide leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to the audit and QA team.Drive continuous improvement and best practices in compliance and audit operations.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics preferred (not required).CPA or JD required; LLM preferred.Minimum 8 years of tax experience and 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven expertise in IRS code, regulations, case law, and tax compliance.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.What We’re Looking ForA collaborative leader who can work independently and as part of a team.Someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.A strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.A leader with integrity, excellent judgment, and the ability to mentor and inspire staff.Why Apply?Executive-level visibility and influence within the organization.Opportunity to lead a high-impact audit and compliance petitive compensation and benefits package.Collaborative, growth-oriented culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr
