We have secured funding and ambitious growth plans to reshape hospitality in New York.Job SummaryWe are seeking a strategic, detail-driven Controller who has the potential to grow into the CFO role as we scale. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and guiding fiscal strategy. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity hospitality environment and is energized by building the financial foundation of a rapidly growing company.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Accounting & Financial ManagementLead all accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, GL, P&L, cost accounting, and revenue recognitionManage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisDeliver timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including consolidated reportingOversee cash flow management and reconciliations across multiple entitiesAudit GL accounts and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policiesSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closesCompliance & Regulatory OversightEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax and reporting requirementsManage filings, compliance, and insurance policies (UI, disability, workers’ comp)Operational Finance & LeadershipReview daily sales reports, deposits, and system integrations (POS, payroll, etc.)Approve payroll weekly and oversee cross-entity billing and reconciliationsMonitor cost controls for COGS, labor, and menu pricingSupport investor and management reporting with clear, actionable insightsPartner directly with ownership to guide financial strategy and performanceRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA strongly preferred)5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience; hospitality, QSR, or multi-unit operations experience highly preferredStrong command of financial statements, budgeting, and cost controlProficiency with ERP/accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)Advanced Excel and strong data analysis skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvyCollaborative leadership style with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environmentBonuses: Annual performance bonus + 8% additional bonusHealthcare: $2,000 monthly stipendCareer Growth: Clear path to CFO role as the company expandsAdditional Perks: Join a brand with secured funding, ambitious expansion, and direct exposure to ownershipWork StructureApproximately 50 hours per week (Monday–Friday)Initial remote flexibility, transitioning to in-office, 5 days per week at our new Manhattan headquartersReports directly to the CEO and OwnershipThis is more than a Controller role — it’s a chance to become a future CFO and shape the financial foundation during a transformative growth period.
