OverviewRole Summary/Purpose: This critical finance role supports the Platform Finance teams, primarily responsible for providing support to the Synchrony Mastercard portfolio, while also providing secondary support to the Lifestyle platform. This position will work closely with platform Finance Managers to deliver every day for our stakeholders, and will coordinate regularly with multiple teams (Client teams, Forecasting, Platform FP&A, Marketing, Analytics, Credit, etc.)Our Way of WorkingWe’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.Essential ResponsibilitiesPartner with the SYF MC finance manager on segment related deliverables: financial projections, investment analysis, reporting, operating reviews, payments, and ad hoc requests as necessaryPartner with the SYF MC cross-functional support teams to drive the portfolio growth strategy and profitabilityPrepare for and participate/lead monthly/quarterly business reviews, for portfolio leadership teamsPrepare monthly/quarterly accruals for marketing expense, interchange fee reclass, Mastercard joint development fund, Mastercard volume incentivesPrepare and evaluate profitability of CH campaigns in support of SYF MC growth initiativesSupport Digital and Lifestyle platform teams in developing drivers for rolling forecast and OPIntegrate with and provide regular finance updates for internal platform teamsCreate and maintain analytics supporting accuracy of financial forecasts of Forecasting teamSupport quarterly UST promo pricing actions and initiativesDrive financial process improvements & standardization to enhance process efficiency, and support new initiativesSupport Platform Support projects and initiatives as assignedPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications/RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or related business field or in lieu of degree, 8 years equivalent experienceMinimum 4 years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A)Proficient use of financial systems and analysis tools including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Oracle HyperionDesired CharacteristicsExperience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A)Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionallyDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlinesFinancial services industry experienceAbility to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate action plans and deliver results timelyAbility to lead projects and assignmentsDemonstrated experience analyzing business data with the ability to distill large amounts of information down to the critical areas of focusAbility to create and deliver business presentations and communicate effectivelyStrong analytical, problem solving skills, and attention to detailGrade/Level: 11The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Eligibility RequirementsYou must be 18 years or olderYou must have a high school diploma or equivalentYou must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding processYou must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
