Engineer II - Commercial Site Land Development

Excellence” — drives everything we do, supported by a culture of mentorship, ongoing professional development, and employee-focused programs like PD‑Connect.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design and preparation of plans for site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion control.Develop and evaluate design alternatives based on site constraints, client needs, and regulatory requirements.Prepare project specifications, cost estimates, and design documentation using tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow Hydrographs, and MS Office Suite.Analyze horizontal and vertical alignments, typical sections, and right-of-way requirements to ensure project feasibility and efficiency.Prepare written technical reports and engineering studies using approved company formats.Direct and review the work of engineering technicians to ensure accuracy and quality.Collaborate with project managers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to support permitting and compliance efforts.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited programEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification1-2 years of experience in civil site, commercial, residential design, or public worksProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office SuiteFamiliarity with land development processes and engineering standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with othersFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlinesReliability and dependabilityAbility to work Monday–Friday, 8 am – 5 pm with overtime as neededEEO StatementAll qualified applicants for Pape-Dawson Engineers will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSales and Business DevelopmentIndustriesCivil Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr
