OverviewThe Group Sales Manager will oversee group sales for a designated market at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. This person is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, soliciting and generating business. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate. The Group Sales Manager will also participate and may lead sales and other staff meetings. This person will also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff and in close contact with assigned Sales Coordinator and other support staff.ResponsibilitiesSell guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groupsManage accounts and conduct site inspectionsSolicit and generate business; prepare and present proposalsMaintain organized documentation and reports; utilize Hyatt systemsCoordinate customer service requirements as appropriateParticipate in and may lead sales and staff meetings; collaborate with sales, catering, and support staffSalarySalary range for this position is $64,100 - $80,100. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.
